I am pleased to introduce the cover I designed for my good buddy Brian’s newest and most auspicious young adult novel, a LGBT fantasy entitled Over the Rainbow:
I am currently experiencing something like a Lisa Frank renaissance, so I was super stoked to work on a design that actually called for rainbows!
Check out Brian’s kickstarter for this self-published novel and DONATE if you are interested in more subversive and diverse fiction for young adults.

Heyy! Sorry for the terrible updating. Life has been pretty nuts this year, leading right up to my knee surgery last week. Here’s to recovery!
But here’s a little blurb from my gallery debut last month, pretty cool! I’m hoping to get some bigger pieces in the next ADG photography show this summer.
Don’t know what’s coming up, but something surely will. Stay tuned folks.

Erin is a wonderfully fantastic friend of mine and a super classy lady who happens to think candy corn and farts are inherently hilarious. Who among you can defy such rock solid laugh logic?
Also, I might be the next freakin’ poet laureate. AMIRIGHT

What do all the girls do? They say, “Happy birthday Aaron.” Makes sense, yeah?
This birthday card may be a little dark and psychosexual, but I found a French magazine and it ain’t my fault everyone pictured in it was naked. Plus, I had just blown out my knee and all the sitting around by myself may have warped me a bit.
No worries, I’m much better now. Still have to have knee surgery in a 2 months but my outlook has greatly improved. Plus I’m working on FOUR different design projects right now, which is keeping me quite busy in the brain. Stay tuned!

Reunion t-shirt/coffee mug logo, as dictated by my mother and designed by me. Friends of mine from high school would likely recognize that particular dwelling.
Got a couple more logo design requests down the tube! For rocks and for jokes; that’s pretty cool bizness.
Here’s my last birthday card from 2012, and I love it. I somehow managed to find clipart that looks JUST LIKE my buddy Liz’s dog, Radar.

Notice the puffy paint detail? After a particularly smeary incident in the 6th grade I swore off the stuff for years. BUT NOW I’M BACK BABY
Decorating basic greeting cards with puffy paint is great fun, maybe I’ll continue this theme throughout 2013. But my cards aren’t super premeditated; they’re borne out of whatever materials I have at hand. Sometimes they’re just brown bags filled with beer:
And that ain’t too shabby!
Merry Christmas! I finally got my photos developed from my October trip to Guatemala, and I’m super pleased. But I cannot freakin’ wait to go back!

Ok YEAH, I admit it, all the best ones are of volcanos. Check out the rest on flickr!
PS: Much love to my bff Natalie, who shared with me the wonders of Guatemala and didn’t skimp on the papusas.
You’re such a badass! I love you!

Going off the rails on a tasty brain, aka Scaryoke 2012!
Everyone had KILLER costumes: Carrie, Weird Al, a werewolf on vacation, a person partially subsumed by The Blob, Lisa Frank Panda Painter (yours truly) and the best couple’s costume EVER: Ernest and Auntie Nelda!

Hooray! And since they were instant photos we were able to enjoy them THAT MINUTE… but then it took 2 months for me to scan and post them to teh INTERNETS. So enjoy, internet people! And catch the rest of the batch on my flickr.
